It is not a secret that it is very difficult to study disk space usage of such difficult organism as PC. However with Directory Size program you can make it for a few minutes. The program advantage is its evident character, convenient interface, simplicity in usage.
The program consists of four windows which visually show disk space usage and carry out some function. The top left program window show a tree of folders of the catalogue which structure you study – beginning from an usual folder and finishing a drive. Besides, you will find the size of each folder in this window.
The top right window allows receiving more detailed information on each folder at the left. Do you want to learn what folders and files the directory consists of? Do you want to learn, what percentage share in the general size of the directory they have? Do you want to learn quantity of folders and files in the folders of the second level? Directory Size will help you with it.
If figures are difficult for you, use the bottom right window to receive graphic representation of disk space usage. The diagramme shows structural distribution of each directory. By the way, possibility of graphic data presentation change is realized in the program. You can choose diagramme type (pie or bar), gradient background, as well as color palette. Adjust the diagramme under yourself. By the way, it can be kept as a bitmap file or copied in clipboard.
Looking at the bottom left window, you will always be well informed how much place remains on your disks, how many files and folders they contain.
But it is not all. In the program there is a powerful tool of data filtration. Using it you can choose data presentation type (files and folders, extensions, owners, size or time range, etc.). Besides, thanks to the filter you can filter data on a mask, size and file owner.
